Ok I finally did it

I did it. I moved Kyson to the big boy tub! I don't know why I was so nervous to do it but I was! My little baby is growing up! He absolutely LOVED splashing in the water. He was just so happy! Kurtis and I just sat there and adored him.

Tuckered

For the past couple days Kyson has been teething. Well he has been for awhile but he was having a fever. He was also not eating well, had the runs and was always whinning and exhausted! This picture was taken on Wednesday morning. I always put cartoons on and let him play on the floor while I get his bottle ready or do something for Kurtis. Well he was really quiet so I went to check on him and this is what I found! It all my 8 months of being a mother..Kyson has NEVER just fallen asleep on the floor. He always whines for me. Not only that..he had JUST woken up like 15mins before that. My little boy was sure TUCKERED OUT! lol

Daddy Dressed Me

So Kurtis bought this outfit for Kyson when I was pregnant. He picked out everything! Sadly I took to long to put him in it and he is almost to big. I never noticed how BIG my sons head was! Its sad to say that lol but he does have a huge head! Hats are either to small or really tight. Poor thing..Kurtis and I decided he got it from both of us. . . since I can wear Kurtis' hats perfectly and well I have alot of hair to hide it..and Kurtis doesn't! lol Oh well. Atleast we are a family and we stick together! :)

He's a Crawling Machine

He has started to venture out a tiny bit. But for the most part will just stay in one spot. He will crawl to Kurtis and I! That is one of the most enjoyable things about him crawling!! I love it! This is such a fun age!!

I have a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart!

I just had to share that this morning when I got home from the gym I came in and found my family playing on the floor. Kurtis had Klohe in so I closed all the doors so that she wouldn't go into any of the rooms. As I was doing that Kurtis said Kyson had been saying Momma all morning! So I came back into the room and he crawled right to me! He was saying momma mom momma mom mom the whole time while he was coming towards me. It was the first time he did it without me holding a toy he wanted. He wanted me! I am just so full of smiles this morning! It is an unexplainable feeling! I love my son SO much!!!

Its Official...

Kyson is CRAWLING

Yep. Even though he is very lazy about it he does crawl. He isn't very curious about the house yet. I still put him down on his playmat and will find him there everytime.He does move around it, but rarely leaves it. lol Thats ok with me. We have some minor improvements to make around the house before I would let him wander a little.

8 Months Old

Kyson is 8 months old today!

I love this boy! I can't get enough of him. Everytime I got to get him after he wakes up I am greeted wth the biggest smile! In the mornings he is so cute because if he could talk I would imagine him saying "Turn the lights out mom! Its to bright!"

A little about Kyson:
He is starting to wave
He can take 2-3 steps (crawling steps) lol Doesn't quite crawl but has the idea. He is just a bit lazy
He LOVEs juice! (apple, pear, white grape)
He LOVEs to feed himself cheerios and star puffs
He LOVEs tags! (I bought him this toy that has tags all over it. Made by TAGGIES best thing EVER!)
He LOVEs to bounce in his chair
He has started to shake his head at you.
He will kinda bounce with him if you coax him to
He will cry if he thinks mom or dad are hurt (Kurtis and I were playing around on the floor and he started to say ouch Kyson help. Well after saying ouch about 5-6 times Kyson started to cry. We even tested it. He does it everytime! Even when it is just me and him and he pulls my hair and I say ouch he stops and looks at me very concerned)
He knows when mommy or daddy have a serious tone in our voice and he will stop and listen to us (even if he doesn't understand)
He LOVEs cups! I just bought him some cups that have designed holes in them. They are for the bathtub but I have yet to have him go in the big boy tub...something mommy isn't ready for. And I think daddy still likes to remember the days when Kyson was an infant and you had to really hold him while you bathed him
He may be 8 months old and sleeps wonderfully in his crib but this morning he slept on mommy. He neve does! I was just holding him on the couch and he fell asleep in my arms. I sometimes just catch myself starring at him. I don't know what I am going to do when I have a 2nd or 3rd!!
He really doesn't hate anything..sometimes he gets annouyed with my constant hugs and kisses

Fun in the Sun

Today was fun time outside! We got some fresh air and it wasn't to hot even! Michelle, Caleb, Kyson and I played in the water at San Tan Mall. Kyson enjoyed it much more than I thought he could since he isn't mobile yet. :)

We Will Never Forget

I don't know how you wont be able to listen and watch without bawling. But I thought it was something I should share. May we always remember those who serve so that we may live in the land of the free. Thank you to all those who are so brave, who protect the inocent, and are whiling to make our lives a little safer.

I am so proud

Kurtis has been sweating it out and waiting to hear from a huge group for the past couple of weeks. As you all know he went into the Insurance Business and it is quite different than the painting business. Well he snagged his first BIG group yesterday! A 100 Man group that will mean..$$$ and traveling. (or so I hear about the traveling) I may have to double check on that one. But he is so darn proud of himself as he should be! I love watching Kurtis thrive on his accomplishments and become so uplifted. It gives me great pleasure to watch him succeed and grow at something he tries so hard at. It was scary switching careers like that with a brand new baby, but my Husband is amazing! He is headstrong and determined. He is my rock, my support system, my heart, my best friend!

I love you Kurtis! I am so proud of you!

HUNTING SEASON!!!!

Well if you haven't heard the good news yet..Kurtis for his first kill! A big Antelope hunt was taking place last weekend and on the morning of the 6th was Kurtis' lucky day. It took him a couple shots (I hear the video is Rated R due to language) but at the last possible moment before the guy was out of sight he shot him down dead in his tracks. Kurtis could not be more excited!

Caden is a born hunter! He killed 2 rabbits that weekend!

I am so greatful that my husband was able to go hunting with my dad and brothers. He had a great time with them. Many laughs and jokes only for boys ears I am sure. I do know it meant alot to him for them to take time away from there families to share this memorable experience with him.

Prediction: Kyson will be crawling in 1 week.

He is SOO close!! For the last two days he has been getting on ALL fours. But he just collapses. He can do a push up! :) I fear he might actually crawl while Kurtis is gone. So that means I have to have the camera ready. Once he does I know I will have my work cut out for me..but its just so exciting! He is reaching another milestone! My baby is growing up so fast! He will be 8 months old next week!!

Labor Day Weekend

All of our extended family went out of town. Mine went up north and Kurtis' went down south. We decided since the last trip we took with Kyson didn't go over so well that we wouldn't travel this weekend. Yes we had some dissipointed family and my dad and sister sure made me feel guilty ad sad for not being at the cabin but its hard on Kyson to be away from home. When its hard on him its even harder on Kurtis and I. So we took the time for it to just be the three of us. I must say, 3 whole days with my husband and son. I loved every minute! I don't remember the last time we spend so much time with just us three. It was great! Especially since Kurtis is going to be going out of town for 4-5 days this week. So what did we do?

Friday we watched a movie.."Never Back Down" Its actually cheaper to just buy a movie on PPV! $5. You can't get better than that! You get to cuddle up on a couch or in bed and pig out if you want. Just as we turned out the light to go to bed...Kyson woke up. We think he is teething and it just made us so happy that we didn't go up North. He wouldn't stop crying. He was up from 11:30pm until 3am. Just upset and mad at the world I guess. He still woke up the next morning at his normal 7am too!

Saturday we went to Grandpa and Grandmas to swim. It took Kyson a while to warm up to the event. We didn't expect the pool to be so cool. After we got used to the water he was his happy and jolly self. We had broughten him some toys to play with and he just starred at them, or the water. He was more interested in his sippy cup! lol Kurtis and I had some pizza. One day Kyson will be able to benefit from that! :) After swimming we just went home and played the Wii and relaxed. And of course naptime! I couldn't believe that I actually napped. I never do! But the night before left me tired.

Sunday. Church of course. Relaxing and just enjoying everyones company. Kurtis actually made HOMEMADE cookies. They were pretty darn good too! My diet was shot to heck this weekend. I really need to be more strict! For dinner since we didn't have my mothers fabulous cooking Kurtis made perfect steaks! They were delicious babe! You are a master of the grill! :-)

Monday we went shopping. Kurtis picked up two pairs of jeans and new shoes for work. I had to pick up..Babyfood. I am not buying new clothes until I am back to my old size. I PRAY that it happens. So far I am in a rut. I really just need to go to the gym for cardio. I know thats my problem. Later that night Kenny and Tiffany came over. I cooked chicken enchaladas and rice. Yum. Tiffany made Pizzuci! (spell check!) Yummy cookies and ice cream. :) We watched the season premiere of One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl. AWW! If you haven't watched it..AWW!! You will LOVE IT! Well thats about it.
