Vegas- Oo La la

Kurtis and I spent three whole days in Vegas last week. One to celebrate our three years of marriage and two to witness my wonderful friend Meghan get married.

We stayed at the Palace Station Hotel. Yes, not on the strip..my mistake. I knew that going into it..but I didn't know the area and didn't know it was across the highway. Bummer. Lesson learned! Anyways. The first night we went to a Cirque show. Not! what we expected but it was great! We loved all the "dirty" jokes and fun tricks the stunt people did. It was pretty crazy. That was a late night for us. We didn't get back to the hotel until close to 2am. :) You can sleep when you are in heaven right?

The next day we were suckered into what we THOUGHT was a nice free breakfast and a short presentation to get us a free show. LIARS! Four hours later..grr. Kurtis was ticked. lol But we got a free show and $125 (cash) out of it! So when we got the heck out of that dumb timeshare presentation we ate at the what else..SportCenter resturant. They even had lounge chairs you could eat at! lol I had the BEST hamburger. Kurtis had a great spicy chicken sandwhich which we got for free. Our waiter had put in our order just as the computer switched paper so it got lost. After waiting for like 20mins and noticing those who got there after us that they had their food we were about to get mad when the waiter came up to us explained the situation and brought us free spinach dip. YUM!! So he comped Kurtis' meal and the appetizer! Nice huh? lol After that we did some walking around. Checked out some stores and headed to the Bodies Exhibition. WAY COOL! If you haven't gone..GO! Its crazy! You can see all the veins in the body..or the bones or even the babies full development from conception all the way to 32 weeks. They show lots of organs with and without disease and explain what happens. I loved it..even if it kinda gave me the creeps. After MORE walking..we went to out FREE show. A magic show by Lance Burton. Way cool! He is awesome! Definitely take your kids to that. He brings them on stage. Plus..HOW DOES HE DO IT!? lol After that we were beat..we had walked the WHOLE entire strip. So we went back to the hotel.

The next day Meghan Steffey became Meghan Miera..story on the next post. It was nice to be able to go to the Vegas Temple. That was the third one that I have been in. Very beautiful! The afternoon came and we napped then we went out to dinner and watched the water show in front of the Belagio. Then walked and walked and searched for the key chain I just had to have! lol Oh and my magnet. Gotta have that!

Saturday we ate breakfast after sleeping in and then headed to the airport. Our driver told us that we stayed that the famous hotel that OJ robbed. Nice huh? lol
