PF Changs Disaster!!

The other night we went to PF Changs with Kurtis' Mom, Sister and Aunt. Well besides the fact that the waitress sucked...Kurtis and I had a horrible experience with the food! No not food poisoning...here is what happened.
We ordered potstickers...YUM! (usually) Well after my second bite I noticed an odd taste. I thought I had something on my lips so I refrained from licking my lips. But it was my potsticker. After my second one I didn't eat another. I asked everyone if they thought it tasted bad to them and everyone said no. Then Kurtis changed his answer and said no..it tastes bad. By that time I noticed my tounge was numb. Yes NUMB! Then is grew to my lips. It was crazy! No one believed me. Then Kurtis was like my tounge it numb! His Aunt thought he was being Kurtis just backing up his wife but it was gross and bothering us so Kelly (his sister) tasted it. Her tounge went NUMB! So his Aunt and Mom proceeded to taste it. It was CRAZY! I don't know what the heck happened! But it was on our plates I believe because they all ate them and nothing was wrong with theres. So Kurtis' mom complained and we then walked out.
The only thing we can think of is that they didn't completely washt the soap off our plates because that is what was close to the description of the bitter taste. I just can't believe that all our mouths went numb! Crazy! So beware of PF Changs on Power and Superstition Springs Blvd!

Lung Doctor

So if you have been round Kyson his whole life you would wonder. . . Why does he SWEAK? lol Yes he sweaks. He is our little noisy breather. It worries you when he breaths quietly. Kyson was "diagnosed" with Stridor. In short...he has a floppy airway. That is why he was in the Hospitals nursery for three days after he was born. Well our Pediatrian suggested that we go to a Lung Specialist. NOT FUN! We finally went yesterday. The appointment when fine, I will get to the hard part later. The Doctor saw him and Kyson was great. He was talking up a storm interupting the Doctor the whole time. We found out that Kyson has a 95% chance that he has (a big long word!) and that means: The muscle in his throat is bigger than a normal childs and the muscles around it are small. SO eventually he will grow out of this Stridor and be ok. Well there is a 5% chance that he wont...and will need surgery. Again, NOT FUN! So the Doctor ordered an X-Ray and we also have to go to the Hospital in a couple weeks for a minor procedure. Kyson will be awake, and his nose numbed. Then the Doc will put a scope down his nose and check his airway. He thinks that he will be able to do it that way since it sounds like his problem is up at the top of his airway. Now to the not so fun part...I hope you NEVER have to have your infant get a chest X- Ray. NO FUN! They sit them in this round table with there legs dangling...(frirst of course the lady had to get his leg stuck) Grr. THEN you have to hold his hands and bring his arms above his head. Yes I had to do this while he was just SCREAMING and the tech wrapped this HARD plastic case around him so he couldn't move a muscle. It was HORRIBLE! All I have to say is Kurtis is going in with Kyson for the surgery NOT ME! Not after that.

I feel that Kyson will be ok. I just hate that we have to be going through all the waiting and not knowing. But I am VERY thankful to my Pediatrisian for wanting to get this looked at and taken care of.

First Road Trip

Kurtis and I took Kyson on his first road trip. We visited with his family in Munds Park and Cottonwood. We thought for sure he would e up ALL night..just a wreck and screaming. But to our surprise our little man was an ANGEL! I don't know if it was the elevation or if he was feeling better those two days because he slept PERFECTLY! The first night he slept for 9 hours. With a 10min feeding somewhere in the middle. The second night, the same! I couldn't believe it. I was so full I was bursting and in pain. So sadly I could enjoy the whole night of full rest. But he was perfect. Grandma Kim watched him while I went to Flagstaff with my friend Liz. We had a girls day of shopping and ate yummy food at Olive Garden. I finally found some decent cloths at Old Navy after looking at every store. NOTHING FITS! My body is so weird. I know my problem areas so I just need to get my butt to the gym. But that isn't easy with a 3 1/2 month old. One of these days I will be skinny again. I WILL!

Kyson does have a new obsession. TV. He could sit in his bouncer seat and watch cartoons for hours. He did up North. But he had to eventually take his naps. All of Kurtis' cousins and Aunt said he looks like me. It is strange how all over the place the response are when it comes to that. So many think Kurtis and others think me. One day we will know for sure.

Kyson did so good in the car. He cried maybe the last 20-30mins on the way home. Other than that he slept all the way up and all the way back down. He is quite sick of the car now though. Soon he will forget..right?

When we got home, we went to my moms house for our usual Sunday dinner. I think he might not be adjusting well, or he is teething because he has been cranky ever since we got back. I can't see any teeth or bumps but he is not a happy boy. We had an angel ALL weekend and now our son as taken to screaming pretty much all day. He has not had ONE decent nap all day. I hope we are just having a back 24hours. He slept good last night. So maybe he will sleep good tonight and then have a good day tomorrow. Let us hope.

Oh My He is 3 Months Old!

Today my little boy is 3 Months old! He is getting so big! He is weighing about 12lbs now! My mom laughed and reminded me that is how much my brother weighed when he was BORN! Ouch! My poor mommy!

Kyson loves to smile! He is starting to get his laugh on. Every once in a while I can get out a nice one. :) He is becoming a real pooper! Twice now he has had a blowUP! lol Thats right..he pooped and pushed so hard it came out the top of his pjs. lol I couldn't believe it He is a happy little boy, cuter and more handsome everyday. But he does have himself a tiny temper. :)

Grandma Johnson babysat him last night so mom and dad could go on a date. He took the bottle but she had to force him. She said that as soon as we left he started whimpering. Aw! My son knows when I am gone! :) Touches my heart. And as soon as we walked in the door he woke up and was ALL smiles and giggles. I can't wait until he reaches out and says MOMMA!

Grandma Hahn also got to babysit for a short 2 hours. She said he was an angel. Of course he slept! :) But we are so happy and so greatful to have such wonderful and willing Grandparents to babysit for us so we can have some alone time. We LOVE YOU ALL!

June is going to be the doosy babysitting job..5 days in a ROW! We are excited and nervous, as all new parents are. But we can't wait to go on vacation.

HE DID IT!

HE DID IT!!!

HE PASSED HIS TEST!!!

For over a month now our home has been a little shaky. Kurtis was trying to pass his Insurance Exam to get his license. He is done painting full time and wants to put a nice clean suit on everyday and work behind a desk. He is done with the hot weather during the summer months, and the head to head combat with the construction market.

This will make my husband so happy. He has worked so hard all on his own for the past year and a half. His company was making so much head way but with the industry being so slow it didn't make sense to stay in the cut throat business. Why not get out while you are still ahead right?

It took a lot of studing and hardwork but my man did it!! He passed the test and is currently out to meetings learning the ropes to his new career. :) Kyson and I are SO PROUD of you Kurtis! I love you babe! Kyson loves you and we give you BIG hugs and kisses!!
